During this sessions Fiona will be giving a practical demonstration on using play as motivation for training & good behaviour. Learn how to motivate your dog to respond to you even with distractions, teach impulse control whilst providing your dog with mental stimulation. Play helps with maintaining focus & building engagement, keeps training fun & helps overcome confidence issues. Whether you’re a pet owner or sports dog enthusiasts, learning how to play effectively with your dog will be a game changer in your training.
About Fiona Whelan MCFBA
Fiona has worked at the Company of Animals for 21 years as a training & behaviour counsellor; in that time, she has helped hundreds of dogs and their owners. From puppy training through to more serious behavioural problems such as aggression, anxiety & fear phobias.
She is a full member of the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association & is passionate about reward & motivation based training for dogs. Fiona has 4 dogs & 2 cats of her own. She is a keen competitor in Agility & is a Kennel Club accredited agility judge.
